Helping people in need of shelter and support in the Sonoma Valley since 1996
SOS (Sonoma Overnight Support) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization founded in 1996 by a group of dedicated volunteers who joined their efforts to help those in need of emergency shelter.
Today SOS oversees three main programs:
The Haven is a clean and sober facility that provides shelter, food, and support for men, women, and families in need. It consists of a room for men, a room for women, and a room for families. We provide case management and support for all of our clients.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM
This program provides access to showers, laundry facilities, food, bus passes, computers, and case management support for non-residents in need in the community.
SONOMA BROWN BAGGERS
A group of volunteers prepares and distributes burritos and sandwiches to all of those in need of a meal in several Sonoma Valley locations. A soup kitchen is operated every Friday evening and Wednesday afternoon, providing a warm meal to those in need.
